conversion rollout consultant: Working in a small
specialist team. Primarily responsible for 1000 user, Novell to
NT migration. This included:

6500 servers. NT server OS install and configure within
multi-master & resource domain environment. Implemented backup & disaster recovery
schema.
- Installing Microsoft SMS server 1.2 for
automated software distribution on new client PC’s.
Migration of user data from legacy Novell to new NT 4.0
system.
- Implementation of Ghost imaging software &
automated scripts for efficient batch build of new client
PC’s. Staged deployment PC’s and walk-thro support
thereafter.
Maintained
project goal and time targets. Little, or no disruption, to
service due to good time planning and efficient technical team.
MS Mail to MS Exchange migration
engineer:
- Installation and configuration of MS Exchange
site within International organization
- Migration of all existing clients from MS Mail
to MS Exchange. Automated process using bespoke in-house
application for exporting/importing MS Mail mmf files into
PST files and subsequent import into MS Exchange server
information store. User mailbox and data migration (27GB
total). Outlook mail profile auto creation by devised logon
scripts.
After
careful planning this project was successfully completed within
one weekend, and new email system was fully functional on
following Monday. No disruption to productivity incurred.
