Whilst
working for a large webhosting company, the task of creating new
customer websites took 45 minutes to complete each new site
configuration. The demand was approximately 3 new sites per day.

| Researched
and developed Visual Basic DLL Active X components and ASP web
code that took these steps to a simpler method that only
required the input of a domain name, username and password into
a web interface. The website configuration was automated by the
DLL components, and created a new site in less then 1 minute. |

| This
allowed internal (non technical) sales staff create new customer
websites on the fly and saved IT staff time 12 - 15 hours per
week for more important duties. The result was a more efficient
customer service turnaround both in profitability and company
image. |
